Acute Medical Detoxification Program
Texas Star Recovery’s Inpatient Acute Medical Detoxification program provides highly specialized care for patients who are medically compromised, who have a history of medical symptoms of withdrawal, or co-occurring disorders that complicate treatment. The Medical Detoxification Program provides a “safe landing” where the primary goal is to alleviate the patient’s discomfort.
The program provides immediate crisis intervention, formulates a comprehensive assessment, develops both a treatment and discharge plan, and successfully transitions the patient to the most appropriate level of care. Our experts provide a supportive environment, medically and emotionally, to transition the individual through a safe, effective, pain free detoxification.
The initial assessment is created with the collaboration of the individual and our multidisciplinary treatment team of licensed professionals and includes the following components:
- Chemical Dependency Assessment
- Psychiatric Assessment
- Medical History & Physical Evaluation
- Nursing Assessment
- Social History
- Recreational/Leisure Assessment
- Family Assessment
